Places I've been: My father was in the AirForce, and we lived in several different places. Only once did I live overseas and that was in Tripoli, Libya, North Africa. When we moved there I was 18 months old with a big brother 7 year my senior. When we left I was 4 and had a newborn baby sister. We did travel a lot though. Mom and Dad taking turns driving across the United States to visit family from wherever we happened to be stationed.
More about me: Someone once told me that I should write a book about my life. To me, it seems boring and most uninteresting so I won't get into too many details.

I am raising my two grandchildren, ages 11 and 6. The oldest, Christian, is more a son to me than a grandson since I've raised him from birth. My granddaughter, Jasmine, is the most intelligent, self-determined, and confident child I have ever come to know. I have raised them as my own, but always with the knowledge (and hope) that one day mommy will come and be mommy. Thus, I have struggled not having legal custody with schools and doctors.

Instead of waiting for a knight on a white horse, I'm looking forward to the day mommy comes walking in to take over. When that day comes, I plan to build my earth-bermed house on some mountain where 4-wheel drive is necessary to visit with me.
