I didn't have an easy childhood but what happened back then made me a stronger person and I owe it all to my dear Grandmother who raised me since the age of 5. She was an Angel. I have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. My children are from my first marriage (hubby died in 2000 from leukemia and we were married 32 years at the time (age 17-49.) I am now married for 6 years. I must say that I had good luck two times around with husbands! I had to learn a new language to communicate with Felix which was a challenge since I didn't know a word of Spanish to begin with, but then I always loved challenges. I don't know Spanish 100% but enough. He thinks I'm smart for teaching myself from books and cd's! LOL!! He is doing well with his English so far but says it's really hard and I work with him on it every day. I work part-time as a Church Secretary and I really like it. If I ever become rich I would like to help homeless people get back on their feet and give abused children some comfort. My motto is to take one day at a time and if something bad happens to you try to keep on going and never look back!!!

Now that you are over 50, what are you doing that you never thought you would?

Going a little bit deeper in the ocean...can't swim!!! Went on an airplane for the first time in my life. Never expected to loose my first hubby at a young age from cancer...got married again!!!! Last but not least, learning to speak Spanish so I can communicate with my hubby.
