- More about me
-
I am a new widow, with no family in Indianapolis.
I quilt, read (history, biography, SF and Fantasy).
I love "chic flicks" and Family-friendly movies more than action flicks. I do not watch horror or crime movies. I love the Lord of the Rings trilogy and sometimes spend the entire weekend watching them and all the commentaries on the DVDs.
I am not a fan of watching sports.
I love to cook for people, but not just for myself. I am also an accomplished bread baker.
I am trying to get my health back after 9 years of caring for a sick husband. I need to start exercising and losing weight, so would like to find a walking partner.
I am interested in learning about vacations that newly single (especially widows/widowers) have enjoyed as I need to learn to go on my own.
I have 3 cats (my fourth recently died) and a dog. I love them all to distraction.
I was married twice. I had a son from my first marriage. He was killed by his babysitter in 1987, age 16 months. I had no children with my second husband.
I have 6 sisters and a brother. I am not close to any of them. My dad passed away in 1993. My mom is 83 and has advanced senile dementia, so doesn't really remember me.
