So, maybe somebody might care.

I was raised Catholic and am now a Unitarian. For those women who understand the shorthand, I'm a Cakes woman.

I was raised in the North and now live in the South - from necessity, not choice.

I have a B.S. in physics but wanted a B.A. in English, tried again wanting to go into library science, got accepted but never got to take a class.

I am happily and healthily estranged from my family of origin.

I am an insomniac night owl who gets up at 6 am to go to work.

I would rather deal with earthquakes than hurricanes.

I was very isolated as a child and never learned much about social relationships and still don't really know a lot anout how that stuff works on a personal level.

I have a very large vocabulary and wish I had more chances to use it. However, I am also nerdish.

I am married to an engineer with two daughters who work in different areas of computer science/engineering who have significant others who are also in the wonderful world of computing - seriously meant. It's more financially exciting than being an English major - but it's also what all of them wanted to do and enjoy doing and do well.

I'm still waiting for my turn but I'm not even sure I'm in line.

In a large social gathering, I'm the one in the corner with my back to a wall as near an exit as I can get looking like a deer caught in the headlights.

I like silence and rarely feel lonely though I am often alone and would prefer to be aloner on many ocassions. I have so many stories and questions and music and universes and fancies in my head to last for two and a half lifetimes, at the very least.

I love getting tarot readings but retain the right to be skeptical,especially concerning the question of how much information the reader may have gleaned from the internet. (She even knew what kind of car I drive!!!!)

I am almost equally right-brained and left-brained, slight edge to the right.

In my next life I want to stand on another planet or conduct an orchestra.

I love questions, especially those that don't have answers.
