Chemical Engineer. Still going after all these years. Before I did that I was a painter (buildings, not portraits), a mechanic, short order cook, I ran a surfboard rental stand, and poured concrete burial vaults. And was a paperboy. I like chemical engineer best.

I love the outdoors. I moved back to the States in March, 2007 after a while in the Middle East. It's the first time I've lived in California. I bike, surf, kayak, ski, and dive. My Big Five! I also love libraries. They are a window to the world, and free public libraries are a cornerstone of democracy.

My Mom's fried chicken with banana pudding dessert. The kind of banana pudding with vanilla wafers on top. We kids would fight to leave some so we could put it in the fridge, and then fight to see who could eat the slightly soggy wafers on the very top.
