Places I've been

Presque Isle, ME (Hometown), City girl who married a farmer...this was truly a "real" education...a busier lifestyle I cannot imagine...traveled mostly on Eastern seaboard (love the Maine coast) experienced a missions trip to The Baja, Mexico. Eldest daughter and her family lived in the Seattle area for 10 years so I had a yearly trip each spring to visit them. Go to Cape Canaveral, FL often (have seen many NASA mission lift-offs and returns) which continue to inspire me with hope and expectations. Love the fall ride through the Blue Ridge Mts, summer at the beach, the first snow in Maine, fall "leaf peeking" in New England. Am planning a trip to NM this fall, can't wait!!!!

My formal education was nursing however whether in that role or my interior design business or in real estate, I have always found immense satisfaction in helping others find joy, make healthy decisions, and realize the best outcome in their situation.

Active in many church roles, my most enriching role was serving as a Mentor for MOPS (mothers of preschoolers). We shared, loved, cried, laughed and gave a plethora of advice to each other! A richer time I cannot imagine when serving others. The memories continue to touch me even today!

But my most important role today is being a great Nana! The grandchildren have always kept me young when playing badminton, golfing, going on rides at the fairs, singing, swinging, frisbee, walking the beach, whatever was of interest to them. As they grow up I continue to be one of their greatest cheerleaders!

Married for 46 years to a man who shares MOST of my dreams and ALWAYS supports me in all my endeavors, I am thankful!!

Aging is not the most pleasant part of my life but I do have a great appreciation for where I have been and all the experiences that I have encountered. I have to work harder now on diet, appearance, exercise, when I just want to dance through the rest of my life!

I'm still "Jazzy" and..... I am still a "player" at life...

What is your favorite family dinner?

Maine lobster....do I need to say more?!?!

Who is the most interesting person you have ever met?

Too many very fine people out there, each doing special things for others.... I admire strong people who take the time to make a difference!!

Now that you are over 50, what are you doing that you never thought you would?

Woodworking....I have been making simple furniture pieces and just love the smell of the wood and the affects of sanding to a smooth almost liquid feel. I can't believe all the tools that I have acquired!

What is your dream vacation?

New Mexico....would tour all the corners and learn the history and take pic's, paint the sunrise and sunset and find an awesome spa!!!!

What organizations do you belong to?

Currently belong to a knitting group for my casual, relaxed side but in my past I volunteered for Amer. Cancer Soc., served on the hospital board, was a 4-H dairy leader, Extension Group, All offices of county real estate board, and many church positions.

OMGosh, Jazzy, I just found your comments! you are so cute! I hope your get together goes well..
I'm so excited about tomorrow (the forth) and being with the family at the beach....my grandchildren love it!! enjoy the day..!!
