Have always loved to cook so I started out working for fast food places then was a cook for TGH Hospital for 2 yrs. I then landed the job I have had for the last 20+ yrs. at a Elementary school cooking and educating children about food. I try to give them a good variety of things to eat besides what they get at a fast food chain.This has been a great experience and I love it!!

I work as a school cook and food service manager for a K-8 elem. school since 1985 and love it. My husband and best friend have been married for over 33 years and love traveling and just being with each other. We have 4 grown children and 7 grandchidren,one in which we are raising. We look forward to the day we can retire and do alot more traveling to places we haven't been to yet.

Favorite Movies

There are so many that I like. I enjoy all kinds except horror. I can watch most movies over and over again. I enjoyed the Lord of the Rings series and The Matrix trilogy too. Love Actually, Hitch and the Wedding Date are my fav. romantic comedies. I like all the Star Trek movies so as you can see there is no one favorite.

Any meal that all my family is present.I do love a good prime rib with garlic mash potatoes.

Who are your heroes?

I consider anyone who serves our country, either thru the military or law enforcement, a Hero. My son served 8 yrs. of active duty in the Coast Guard and is currently still working with them as a civilian so of course he's my special hero. Also those people in professions that serve the public,firefighters and EMT/ nurses, because they do jobs alot of us wouldn't want to do.

Raising our grandaughter.She's a good child but I thought when our kids were grown we were done.

No organizations to speak of but very busy as President of the union at work,also on the school site comittee and the school superintendent's comittee and also take care of a disabled daughter besides raising our grandaughter, so I'm too busy to add another organization to my list of things to do.
