Happy Fourth of July!!!!!!!

I am 57 and live on the Gulf Coast. My husband has been my sweethearts since 7th grade...Really. We love to fish. I am a Fine Artist and a Quilter who designs quilts and have sold the patterns world wide. We are now completely retired and loving life. I am an avid gardener with beautiful yard and vegtables. My husband is master carpenter, who builds great furniture. We have three grown children and 6 grandchildren. Our Oldest daughter and their family live close and help us in every way.

I recently became a moderater for Living with Chronic Illness. I hope I can contribute to the Group! I have Sjogren's Syndrome, a little known autoimmune disease that can effect your body in many ways. Please search the web and try to learn more about SS. I recently finished testing at the DeBakey V.A. Hospital in Houston. They have given me the diagnosis of MS. They think I have had it all along with the SS as the secondary. Just remember, just because someone doesn't look sick, doesn't mean they are not sick. Compassion is a great virtue.

I happen to have a disease, That is not the way I define myself! I am not my disease!

Thanks to eons, I am a birdwatcher, who whoulda known. Now I am trying Digital Art...WoooHooo....Growing more everyday!
