More about me

I have been married to a wonderful friend and companion since I was 18 years old.  I promised I would never divorce him but stick around and make him misserable for the rest of his life.  Every year he tells me what a great job I'm doing.  We are best friends and have weathered many storms of life together.  We are both cancer survivors.

I have 2 grown children, a son and daughter.  We moved from Michigan to Alabama 11 years ago and our daughter is still a little unhappy with our decision.  She is our 2nd best friend.  We moved a little closer to her in 2004 and love it here in north GA.  Son lives less than an hour away from us.

 I retired in September, 2007 and consider it the best decision I have made in recent years.  I now have time to spend with hubby and do some of the things I like best.

Activities

"Playing" on the computer, crochet, needlepoint, quilting, beading etc. Reading books, playing bridge and doing jigsaw puzzles.

Lets just say hip-hop, rap and jazz are not on my list of favorites. Everything else is fine.

Favorite TV Shows

Most of the reality shows, So You Want To Be A Millionaire and Jeopardy

Favorite Movies

South Pacific is by far #1 but then it gets hard to decide from all the other wonderful old musicals - Oklahoma, Sound of Music, Carousel, The King & I, Paint Your Wagon. Its a shame so much violence comes to us thru movies now.

Buddy, our dog, was the BEST Daisy, my calico cat who went to sleep in Oct, 2006. Patches, the black & White cat, who joined Daisy in Nov, 2006. Dolly, a 12 year old cat who discovered she can do what she wants now that the other two cats are gone. Actually, I like all animals
