Wow the biggest thing in my life right now is my 31 year old son. In May of 05 he got his 1st pacemaker. The second one was in Feb. of 06. In May of this year he was put on the heart transplant list. Some kind of virus attacked his heart. Dr.s don't know any more than that as to why. What an emotion wrenching thing to deal with. He has moved in with mom and dad, and we are adjusting to that aspect now. Dad and I have been married for 33 years, and we will be able to support each other thru this thing. We have two other children. A daughter in Texas, who just finished college and is working at a really good job. A son who is married, and has a son, and lives just a few blocks away. What a joy my grandson is!! When I was a little girl and people asked what I wanted to be when I grew up I said a grandmother. Boy was I right. It's the best thing in the world. I also have two granddaughters, but they are with their mothers, one in Tennessee, and one in Kentucky. Breaks my heart that they are so far away. I would love to hear from any one who has gone through a  transplant or had a loved one who did.

Sept. 9

Hey Dan got the transplant!!!! He is feeling much, much better. Better than he has felt in years. He is 4 weeks out from transplant and has just started driving again, so that is giving him more freedom. He is starting to get bored again. Tipe A all the way. Needs to be doing something all the time. We feel like we won the lottery.
