More about me

Lived and worked in the beautiful Adirondacks all my life. Raised two children there, quite successfully, I might add. Retired two years ago and have more time for life. Love yoga, canoeing, snowshoeing, hiking, travelling and talking with my friends. Love peace and quiet, hate noise and too much stimulation. Unsure what the future will bring or where it will take me. I may move if I find the right place to go, or I may study integrative nutrition and more yoga.

Activities

Practicing yoga, would like to study it more when I'm retired. Volunteering for our beautiful new museum, the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks, otherwise known as the Wild Center. I also enjoy walking several miles per week. When the mountains close in, I like to go to plays and museums.

Favorite Charities

Food pantries and soup kitchens because they provide for local people.

Favorite Music

The old ones from the 50's and 60's. Also love the New Age music and Broadway show tunes.

Namaste Yoga, CSI, public broadcasting., NASCAR

Favorite Movies

Oh, so many I have seen with my children. Also, Cider House Rules, Seabuscuit, Million Dollar Baby, anything with a message. My all time favorite is Camelot.

Favorite Books

I've read so many books and yet I don't think I have a favorite. Jonathon Livingston Seagull and The Road Less Traveled made a big difference in my life. Icebound, Memoirs of a Geisha and Those Who Save Us impressed me.

Favorite People

People who add to my spirit, of course, after my children. Others who do yoga and consider health and wellness and can speak intelligently. I've never met or heard of an individual who struck me as special. Anyone who loves the Adirondacks and tries to make it a special place. Anyone who tries to make the world a better place.

Favorite Places

Any place beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Costa Rica, San Diego, museums and historical spots.
