I have also lived in the DC area and in central Pennsylvania. My out of country travels have taken me to China, Switzerland, Germany, England, Scotland, Costa Rica and a few other spots. When I want to renew, I prefer to head to the mountains over the ocean but most perfect is a mountain retreat near a lake!

My 30 second bio - wow!

I am someone who is a tad hesitant to do something that feels so public as this so doing a bio is a bit of a stretch.

In some ways, that is what my life is about these days.  It is the personal "stretching" that I know will make this part of the journey of my life continue to be a good one.  So I guess you would say that I am someone "who embraces the stretch!"

Family and friends are a central part of who I am.  From the pictures I have shared, you can tell that dogs are also important to me.  Rescue and adoption have led some of my four-legged friends to me.

There is nothing I like better than gathering folks together for a good meal and some good conversation - a game of cards or a good movie can add to the evening.  It is always a treat to meet new people and bring them into the circle. 

My favorite pasttimes include the theater and a good book but I can be equally happy sitting with my beau as he "devours" a Steelers game or golf match on the tube.

Oh, yes, and I have made a living in higher education for the last 3 decades at 5 different institutions.  It is a rewarding field and I feel blessed to have found my way to it.
