Places I've been
The most important place in my life is a beach called Moomomi . I was raised on the shores and waves of this beach. It provided me and my family with life, food, happiness, love, giving, taking and cherishing most of what life had to offer. It brought us together in the presence of God and nature. I am so thankful to this beach for giving me the best memories of my life. My family depended on this beach and the wide ocean to provide for us like a bank at your back door. This beach taught me love, llife, respect, honor, giving, and taking within your limits. Please help to save my childhood beach. They are talking of developing it......in the area. More about me

Aloha, I am so happy to be here at eons.  My name is Ekekela, but am better known as Honeygirl.  Sounds corny, but it is true.  I live on the Big Island of Hawaii.  I am 51 years young and just loving life.  I am a mother of 2 children, ages 12 and 19.

I have a few hobbies as I am always working because I chose agriculture as my work.  I don't have much time to maintain a love relationship, unless the man is into agriculture, too.  I give most of my attention, after work is concerned, to my children and home.

I was born and raised on the island of Moloka'i.  I am the 14th child of 15 children.  I never felt like I fitted in most of my life.  Lo and behold!  Being 51 years has changed all of that.  I have been single for the past 16 years.

I was a secondary teacher for 7 years and decided to quit my job so I could be closer to home with my children.  I am now in the growing and landscaping business for myself.  I love the serenity of being around the plants and watching them grow.  I also work for other people who dont want to bother growing their own plants.  I grew up with the rich soil of the earth.  I swore not to ever go into agriculture and look at me now.  My family were good with the land and the ocean.  In the Hawaiian culture, one either would be a fisherman or a farmer.  If you are fortunate and do both.......you will never go hungry.  It still works out well , if you are not both.  Barter!

I have had struggles, like many of us on this site, but I have continued to move on and make the best of what I have.  I have a good life and could only get better.  Thanks be to God!
