Sometimes wacky, wild and funny! sometimes maddingly serious. Always loving this wonderful thing called life. Love to write, play golf and guitar. None of them well. I enjoy people the most, love talking to them and watching them. Professional who is semi retired, yet cannot stay uninvolved in the community. Proud mom of 2 sons and 6 grandchildren.

i worked with an international engineering firm headquartered in nyc for 12 years. Transferred around as mid management "special projects manager" which translates to anything new they wanted to introduce to the 1500 employees. Did many things in many cities. finally, in omaha i left and joined a financial firm and was responsible for 15 facilities and staff. decided enough was enough of the corporate world after a major life event. I moved back to my piece of vermont. i am happier and personally more centered!

pbs, history channel, national geo, special programming, news shows. others not worth mentioning but fun to watch.

Favorite Movies

friendly persuasion, phantom of the opera, band of brothers (miniseries-pbs), roots (miniseries) when harry met sally (diner scene + blue plate), anything audrey hepburn (yea, i know, girlie movies) and anything bogart. Many foreign films. gosh, haven't seen a really good movie in a long time.

Favorite Books

All dreiser, eugene o'neil writings, ditto tennessee williams, chaim potok, arthur clark, early stephen king, ray bradbury books and other fantasy. autobiographies, robert frost, most poetry - witty, humorous or dramatic.

Favorite People

warren buffet - on the few occasions we met, he was a very humble -the other side of middle aged - man who often wore his tired trousers because he loved them so. A benevolent man who encouraged others with wealth to give to the omahan community in the form of museums, education, retail shops, etc. hard to believe he is a billionaire! Robert Frost: his writings personify the reasons i moved home to vermont. he put into words the romanticisms about life and the new england around us that contains hardship, sorrow, and always a friendly hand and a warm welcome. norman rockwell put these words into pictures.

Favorite Places

Great Falls, VA, the architecture of washington, dc; the walkability of boston, ma; omaha ne- the great undiscovered secret for anything you want; and anywhere a good friend is. NYC in all it's clamoring, exciting, do anything at any time, fashion, art and theatrical center of the world. central park is one of the best places i have ever visited. what a distinct difference from the rest of the city, a quiet oasis, a place to ride bike or picnic or play tennis or get married or tour the incredible buildings, shoot pictures, people or dog watch. skip the empire state building and head for the park.

Favorite Animals

the colorful birds in rain forests; the beauty of the most poisonous snakes; my dog rambo. cats for their regalness, ranging in size from alley cats to jungle cats. my most favorite animals of all are the human kind.
