Places I've been

Back and forth across this country from one side to the other many times ~ too many places to mention. My favorite(s)? Sierra Nevadas, the Sequoias, western Virginia, eastern Tennessee; the desert outside Las Vegas, parts of Death Valley and my home.

Just a basic, all around lady; laid back and can be your best friend unless you mess with me or mine. I really try to view life with a positive attitude and continue to learn something new every day.  I officially retired January 2, 2011 but worked part time until they could replace me.  Effective August 2, 2011, I am fully retired!!  I enjoy my grandson whom I call MMM - Mighty Mite Midget. He's just turned nine and knows everything a fourth  grader can know.....just ask him!!  I have two cats who love me and a roommate who doesn't.  Like most true pets, the cats think they're human ~~ Mikie is about 30 pounds (Mikie passed away in May of 2010) and Jessie is the svelte lovely little female at 8 pounds or so. She is 17 now and going strong! I've finally figured out how to do the guest book thing (or at least partially) so please let me know you were here and sign in, please.  Thanks so much!!

Favorite Movies

The Goonies; Airplane; Christmas Story and anything with Steven Segal!! I do like adventure, action films and some blood and guts!

Activities

Retired in January, 2011. Bought my beach cruiser and can't wait for the heat to pass so I can start peddling myself around the neighborhood!!

Arthritis foundation, heart association and diabetes association.....

Favorite Music

Overall, I like the oldies most of all..I can understand the words :) I'm fond of country also as well as some classical ~ Andre Reiv mostly. Any easy listening music is a good thing.

Favorite TV Shows

No specific favorites except I do like to watch the History Channel, A&E, Court TV, TLC and HGTV. Oh, of course, the nightly news. I have gotten hung up on NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles and just love those shows.

Favorite People

Other than MMM and his daddy, I like just basic, down to earth, honest folks. I really have no use for plastic, caustic folks who think they're all that, because they aren't!

Favorite Places

Eastern Tennessee and western Virginia are a couple of my favorite places to go. I love Washington DC also but sometimes, that can get very hectic! Hoping to do a cruise up the east coast into Canada for a retirement present.

Favorite Animals

Mikie, Jessie and Molly (my grandson's Puggle~you know, the dog I don't own) Unfortunatley, Mikie passed on May 26, 2010. He was 16 and led a good life.
