I just sugested to someone else about the book you mentioned, I first read it years ago when my father was dying from cancer. I have made piece with my losses. It is one of the unfortunate penalties of aging.
May I ask what is causing you the pain? I have a few things that have helped me, and I have lived with pain since I was fifteen and had my second bout of Rhumatic Fever.
There is one thing that everyone in pain NEEDS, an anti-depressant and a good support structure. That structure can be from family both those of blood and friendship, or if you live in a large town groups that deal with you're illiness. Than there is the net.
If you need help finding you're way around cyber space, let me know.
Thank you for you're advice, and please excuse the spelling, I am in a flaire with the fibromyalgis and one of the fun things it cause is Brain Fog. lol..
