I lived in State College, Pennsylvania while attending Penn State University and for a short time afterwards. Then I moved to St. Charles, Illinois along the Fox River. After that, I moved north when I was married. I lived in Elgin, IL. When I was divorced, I moved first to Crystal Lake, then to Wonder Lake. Wonder Lake is only about 20-30 minutes from the resort area of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and is 55 miles northwest of Chicago. I recently moved back to Western New York (Dec. 2006) and now live in Lockport about one mile from the historic Erie Canal.

I have many, varied interests including nature, especially bird watching and feeding the wildlife in my backyard. I have 2 kittens and 1 bird (a cockatoo).   Gardening and sewing find their way into my free time also.  I enjoy stargazing and catching the meteor showers, viewing the Northern Lights, and other natural phenomenon.   Gardening and sewing sometimes find their way into my free time as well.  Walking in the rain and playing in the snow are fun too.

I love to eat out and try new restaurants and ethnic foods.  Sometimes I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes.

Working part time gives me a somewhat flexible schedule to try out new activities. I have a motorcycle license, but no motorcycle anymore.

MY DREAM VACATION is to take a cross country train ride across Canada.  Tour the inland waterways of Alaska on a small cruise ship, spend a few days exploring Denali National Park, take a dog sled ride, and a helecopter ride over glaciers and the North Pole.

Activities

Photography, feeding wildlife, my pets, cooking, gardening, and unpacking (still) from my recent move back to Western New York after more than 30 years away. FAVORITE COLOR: bright yellow - because it's a sunny, happy color. :)

birds (wild and domestic), kittens, cats, chipmunks and squirrels, and most animals most of the time--I'm an animal lover at heart. I shoulda been a veterinarian.
