I live in the province of New Brunswick. not too far from "THE LONGEST COVERED BRIDGE IN THE WORLD" (5280 ft) in Hartland,N.B., Canada. I love to visit the ocean! St. Andrews, N.B. is my favorite seaside town. We have a cottage at a lake 1hr from home. We love to go there in the summer. I have toured all of the Maritime provinces (New Brunswick,PEI,Nova Scotia, & Newfoundland/Labrador). Also the Gaspe penninsula, Quebec Perce' Rock I lived and worked as a nurse in Maine when I was younger. I currently live 3 miles from the USA border(on the Canadian side) so I have many friends & relatives on both side of the border. I have been to Quebec, Ontario,and California. We had a wonderful trip through the Rockies and The Badlands of Alberta.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Canada

  Quite a few changes since I wrote last. I still have several migraines a week. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea(again) in Feb'09, fibromyalgia in April'09, and Lupus in mid July'09.

   We moved in October 2009. We bought my husband's parent's home.We lived in our previous home 24 yrs so that was always home to Alex.

     This is my son Alex age 21. He is my pride and joy. He lives in a nearby city and plays in a band which he loves. He had a hard time dealing with school because of his learning difficulties even though he is very intelligent. Intelligence will take you only so far when there are learning and coping problems.

 

 Hi, Below are some of my interests

 Surfing the web,unable to work due to several migraines per week and limitations of Lupus. We have one son, Alex, 21. I enjoy crafts, I am a passionate rockhound so I collect rocks & fossils(hence my sign-in name). I collect teapots,antique hats, antique( or sentimental) toys & books. I have some clothing from 1900 which belonged to my husband's great grandmother. I am interested in geneology and local history.

    I am happily married for 30 yrs. My husband owns a company, Metalfab, manufacturing fire trucks & rescue vehicles. I live in Canada in the maritime provinces. I live in a small village.  I have to get at least one dose of the ocean per summer. Passionate about informing people about "Migraine Disease" which are NOT just headaches!  I love my 2 dogs Buddy & Sunny. They have gotten me through many rough days.

Favorite People

My husband, our son Alex, my parents, my two sisters and many other relatives and friends. I am the oldest(53) of 25 grandchildren. The youngest is 18. When we get together there are over 100 of us. My Dad is the oldest of 11 children. The only deaths have been my grampie (21 yrs ago) and my brother (10 yrs ago). My husband's Mom was very important to me & a very good friend. She passed away in 2006 of pancreatic cancer.

Favorite Places

Any place on the ocean (approx 3 hrs from home), St Andrews by the sea, Newfoundland, and quiet evenings at home with my husband.

Our 2 dogs Buddy & Sunny. Both are shelter dogs.
