hi
I play bassoon (quick, where's Wikipedia?) with a reverence for classical music - orchestral, chamber or playing alone for the sheer fun of it. Jazz bassoon is cool, too. I write. I read. I write. I love to read. Better yet, I love to read while walking, and I've never broken anything - me or a mailbox. I bumped into a coyote, but he was a nice puppie.
I have strong relationships; I love deeply. I divine my kids' troubled thoughts - it creeps them out. I endeavor to be open and nonjudgmental and to embrace whatever comes.
I value my efforts on behalf of those with disabilities and their civil rights; education at all ages; the mentally and physically ill; volunteerism and the 'forgotten' people.
I love marching band shows (go tubas!); rain in the desert and the velvet black of the mountains just before sunset; playing great music that sends shivers down my spine and exhilirates me for days; kicking autumn leaves; long walks anywhere, especially in Utah's red-dust parks; sailing; messing with colors, digital or real; making somebody else trim the cactus; lobbing tennis balls at the bobcat family on our roof; and other under-18 antics.
Please leave a note in my guest book!
