I've lived in Tampa, FL;Houston, TX; Las Vegas; and Pahrump, NV. Pahrump is not very well-known but is the town closest to Las Vegas where prostitution is legal. I visit Utah when I can. I love it there. . I now live in Glendale AZ with the love of my life and Phoenix isn't as scary as I thought it would be

I was born in West Virginia and lived there until I married my teenage sweetheart at 17.

I was married for nearly 38 years and my husband died 9/2007.  We have 2 children and 2 grandchildren who are awesome, of course.

I worked for Walgreens for 24 years and just recently gave it up and moved to Arizona.

I'm now planning an entire new life and for the first time I'm totally on my own.  At 55, this is an exciting yet nail-biting adventure.
Activities
I love crafts. Woodworking, beading, painting, home decorating with a personal touch.
Favorite Charities
My main charity is trying to help a person that I actually see or know that needs something that I can offer. I love Ronald McDonald House and Children's Cancer Association for obvious reasons.
Favorite Music
I love music. It's one of my greatest joys. I have no preference except for the mood I'm in at the moment. Things that touch my heart.
Favorite TV Shows
House is my fave show. Animal Planet comes next. Nature is dear to my heart too.
Favorite Movies
My all-time favorite movie is Sound of Music.
Favorite Books
Conversations with God Book 1. It spoke to me in a way that no other book ever has. My fave fiction is Jane Eyre. I read it once a year from 6th grade to 12th. I'm passionate about reading and I've never re-read another book that many times.

Myself. I like what I've become after living this long. It's not been easy. My departed friend Don Crowley. My friend, mentor and protector. I'm so grateful he keeps in touch.

St. George, Utah. So beautiful and peaceful to me. Houston TX will always be "home" to me. And beside my new love, Jason, wherever he may be.
Favorite Animals
Dogs, especially miniature schnauzers. Wonderful pets.

    I noticed on LadyHawk's site that you are from Glendale, AZ.
    and want you to know about my book-signings in Cave Creek on October 18th and 19th. On Saturday, the 18th I will be at the Desert Foothills Library, 38443 N. Schoolhouse Road. It's on a hill north of Cave Creek Road and Schoolhouse Road. That's at 10 a.m. I'll be giving a little talk about the Cave Creek characters I met in the 1970s.

    At 2 p.m. I'll be doing the same thing at the Cave Creek Museum. It's at 6140 East Skyline Drive where it curves into Basin Road. It's next to the Mormon Church.

    On Sunday, October 19th I will be at Pages New & Rare Bookstore at 7100 E. Cave Creek Road. It's up the road about a mile from Schoolhouse Road and is in a new shopping center on the left. If you get to Tom Darlington Drive you've gone a little too far.

    I'd love to see you at one of these events. Please introduce yourself at the signing.
