Places I've been

(Hometown), ok...let's see... I was born in North Adams, Mass. It's not on the map... too tiny! Little bitty hamlet tucked away in the Berkshire Mountains of New England. Then I lived in Boston for a few years prior to hitchiking out to the west coast. I spent exactly 30 minutes in San Francisco before realizing it was NOT for me! Grabbed the first Eastbound ride I could find... mind you---this was back in the mid-70s...I would NOT recommend the same mode of travel today! Haha! Then I stayed a few months in a commune in WV, then moved back to New England.... then down to Dixie where I settled in Winston-Salem NC. After hubby # 3 was out of the picture, the kids were grown and gone so hubby #4 (he's the last one, I promise!) decided he wanted to see New England. We lived up there for 2 years in my hometown and then moved back to Dixie here to Charlotte to be near the granddaughter we both adore ....when we bought this lil condo here in the Queen City I informed him he better REALLY love it cause the only way I'm leaving here is in a box!! I'm NOT packing again!! Had enough musical states to last several lifetimes!!

Now let's see....if this were still the60s I guess I'd be what they used to call a flower child...free spirit...high on life!! Let's face it...it's awesome all by itself!Right now, hubby's retired--his only job is golf, tennis and chauffering me around. All 5 kids grown and gone, grandkids popping up with amazing regularity. Hubby and I share our little condo with Sugar, the "SPEAGLE" we rescued from the pound at the 11th hour....she's part spaniel, part beagle, all angel and sweeter than her name!I'm into so many things I don't know where to start! Gardening, crocheting, writing, eating, reading, Bible Study, scribblin', eating, scrapbooking, tennis, fitness, walking, eating, swimming, websurfing, macrame, eating, knitting, singing did I say eating?That's pretty much it!! Known for the Irish temper, big mouth, pretty eyes and a very "OUT THERE" attitude!! Can't help it....there's never been a lot of down time between what I think and what I say...My philosophy has always been if ya tell the truth ya won't have to remember anything and consequently, I've gone through life with my mouth in high gear and my brain in neutral but my hearts in the right place! My scribblin' as i call it is one of my passions and I've sold and published articles both online and off for most of the last 30 years. Poetry is another thing i adore...and mine have, thanks to the Internet, flown around the globe! Folks seem to like my style enough to overlook the opinions I'm not shy about stating and I get emails from all over the world ! Pretty cool.!
