I'm a single lady, still working and living with and caring for a disabled son. I like people but enjoy alone time too. I'm an avid reader and enjoy a variety of books and magazines. I'm a passionate gardner and am looking forward to the challenge of making things grow in this short season with harsh weather and hard winds. I've found my spiritual home in the Native American culture and enjoy my many grandchildren and helping them learn their heritage.

Its easier to name a few favorite authors or some recent reads. I read 2-3 books a week plus several magazines. Just finished Someone Knows My Name by Lawrence Hill (terrific) Mother by Linda Ann Rentschler (4 stars), Sylvia Browne's The two Marys, thought provoking, Lisa Wingates A thosand Voices, Denzel Washingtons A hand to Guide Me, and am nearly finished with Escape by Carolyn Jessop, I also read several gardening mags, Newsweek, Ladys Home Journal, Family Circle, local newspapers and loads of gardening catalogs as you can see its a wide variety and these were just in the last 2 weeks.

My favorite place is where I am now. I can look out in all directions and see the rolling praire and to the west is the "back bone of the world" as the Blackfeet call the Rockies. It's just a short drive to several lakes or creeks and just 20 miles to Glacier Park. I've lived in a lot of places but always like where I'm at best at that time in my life. But I am definitely a country girl, I get clausaphobic if in a city for long.

I have friends in the Thomson Falls area. the snow here is finally melting and I have dozens of plant starts sitting about the house ready to be put in the ground. My Hubby says it will start looking like the little shop of Horrors pretty soon, but he just says that because he knows he has to build me more raised bed to accomodate everything. LOL
Well I best get out side ..time to feed the chickens and try and straighten out the fencing that the huge mounds of snow destroyed this last winter.
Hope to hear from you again.
Kat
