I am a life-long learner. My education has included many years of formal and informal learning. I am basically an introvert, but I am also a fun-loving individual who appreciates harmonious and undramatic interaction with emotionally mature people. My strongest religious persuasions/spiritual practices include Subud, Quakerism, Sufism, and Taoism

I have traveled quite a bit in my lifetime. I feel that the most beautiful place I've ever seen is the Smoky Mountain region in eastern Tennessee and northwestern North Carolina. My ethnic background includes mostly Scottish, Irish, and original people of the North American continent in the area now known as Kentucky.

I reared two sons alone, from the time they were ages six months and twenty-one months. I am grandmother to five spirited and sensitive children.

For eighteen years, I was an elementary school librarian. Currently, I am a certified spiritual counselor with a master's degree in psychology. I have always been interested in what people do, think, and feel. I have always been spiritually inclined, even in the days of my spiritual odyssey, when I thought of myself as an agnostic. I am a volunteer at hospice and will undergo training in the spring to become a volunteer at the Women's Crisis Center. I would love to establish a healing arts retreat center on the one-hundred acre farm I stand to inherit from my mother, who is eighty-five and who suffers from Alzheimer's Disease.
