Places I've been

Readers, be forewarned. I'm a wordy person. I've lived in Milwaukee, WI also. I spent my first winter day, well a month, but the first time in my life of 37 years at the time away from the Winter climate. I haven't been much of a traveler, unfortunately, and 2 friends and I went to Costa Rica from Christmas Eve until January 22. It was 13 years ago, but I had never experienced warm weather in Winter in the preceding 37 years. It was fabulous. Glacier Park, MT...probably the most beautiful and awe inspiring place I have ever been. Again, I was in my 30's before I experienced my first mountain, and boy, what a range those Rockies are. To add to the experience, I had taken a month vacation, traveled from Chicago to San Francisco via Amtrakk, something I highly recommend Americans start doing instead of jetting off everywhere, spent a week with a friend there, and then proceeded to travel on to Montana and visit the mountains...alone. It was heaven. Did a fabulous road trip with a very good friend of mine from Chicago to Niagra Falls, stayed over night, and continued on to Toronto where we stayed 10 days. We then went on to Montreal, absolutely one of the most beautiful cities but Toronto is by far the friendlier one, stayed there for a week, and were going to go to Quebec City, but decided to head back into the states and stayed 4 nights and 3 days in Portland, Maine. I had lobster for dinner every night, and I had it for lunch twice. Fresh and inexpensive, I wasn't about to pass up an opportunity like that. LOL...I haven't traveled much, but when I do, I'm taking my time. Okay, I warned you from the get go, I'm wordy.

Allow me to indulge myself. I think I will finally wait and take the time to write one of these brief auto-biographical missives so that I can actually put some time and thought into it. Hmm, we'll see what Pud thinks about that.

I was addicted to TV for so much of my life, and for the last several years while I pay $50 a month for my satellite service, I hardly watch it. My favorite programs are the type that you see on the Discovery Channels and the like.
