Places I've been

I have lived up and down the western United States (Washington, Oregon and California) with a very short hitch in Burns Lake, British Columbia. I was born and raised in Orting, Washington. Towns and states that I have lived in include Orting, Washington and Roseburg, Oregon. Several places in California, including Santa Paula, Ventura, San Jose, Manteca and Yuba City. I have been a resident of Yuba City, CA since 1975.

I am a cwazy wady that likes to have fun.  

My likes are probably pretty ordinary

because I like most of the things that

people my age typically like.  I do consider

my self a bit out of the ordinary because

I also enjoy things that others wouldn't

consider.  One of my favorite things is going

on random photo shoots.  Some of the

photos are displayed on my site.

 

I am a 49'ers fan (even though they 

haven't done the greatest the past few 

seasons.)  A day spent hopping from one yard sale to another is my

idea of fun.  I love arts and crafts fairs, 

flea markets and second hand stores

where one can find the treasures that

others gave away. 

 

I have several collections:  Elephants,

Native American art, cats and I am now 

getting into masks.  My home is an

array of the things I like.  No set

pattern and I like it that way. 

 

Activities

Walking, Working, Camping (with modern conveniences), Festivals, Flea Markets, Yard Sales, Car Shows, Arts and Crafts, Painting, Drawing, Writing, Taking Random Pictures, Playing With Frogs, Enjoying Pets. Water and I do not get along very well, so I am not really into water sports. Most everyone has a collection of some sort. I have several. My first collection was elephants...love them. Then I got into Native American arts and crafts. Cats came next and I am now into masks. With all of my collections, my kids never have to wonder when it comes to gift-giving. I have traveled the Oregon and California coastline on several occasions and twice I have made it a point to stop at every lighthouse accessible.

Favorite Charities

Me...Since it seems there is always too much month left over at the end of the money. HeeHee Actually, I usually donate items to Salvation Army, Goodwill and other local non-profit thrift stores. I also do Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society since I have lost several family members to cancer.

Favorite Music

Easy Listening, Rock & Roll, some classical, anything that is easy on the ears and fun.

Favorite TV Shows

Reality Shows such as American Idol, Extreme Makeover-Home Edition, Survivor, So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing With The Stars, Amazing Race and others. Also like House and am getting into Gray's Anatomy.

Favorite Movies

Many, but some that stand out are The Notebook, Pretty Woman, Walk Like A Man, Sweet November, and Sister Act 1 and 2. I went to see Avatar in 3D when it was playing at the theater and liked it so much that I purchased it as soon as it came out on DVD.

Favorite Books

I read a lot. Love a good mystery. James Patterson, Johathan Kellerman, Patricia Cornwell, some Stephen King. Nora Roberts is good at Romance. I have a book going all the time. Fantastic entertainment during lunch time and on my rare visits to the doctor's office.
