Places I've been
I lived in North Dakota before moving to Nebraska in 1992. I have lived in Nebraska for more than 20 years. During my childhood, I spent many summers in Georgia, visiting my grandparents in Atlanta and Albany. My husband and I love to travel. We especially enjoy visiting our National Parks, including Yellowstone, Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon, Glacier, Grand Teton, Carlsbad, Olympic and many others. Most of our travels have been out West, but we also love New England - especially the lobster! We own a timeshare in Park City, Utah, mostly because John loves to ski. I enjoy the mountains, but will tolerate the beginner bunny runs. We've also skied the Colorado slopes in Winter Park, Aspen and Vail. We also have enjoyed the Caribbean, taking several cruises to various islands. We've been to Hawaii only once, but we are looking forward to a return visit soon. As we start looking at our plans for retirement, we want to start traveling internationally. I'd love to hear from others who also enjoy traveling.

A Little About Me
My husband, John, and I are semi-retired and are able explore new locales and pursue interests we didn't have time for years earlier. We are the grandparents of two beautiful granddaughters, Riley and Taylor, our pride and joy.

It's easy to see by my photos that I love beagles. I am very devoted to the breed and currently have two lovely Beagle Boys, Bravo and Quinn. In fact, my name, CokiCola, is a tribute to my dear Coki, my only female. The name originated from Coki Point, a favorite snorkeling spot my husband, John, and I frequented on our honeymoon in St. Thomas. Since I also have a lot of Coca-Cola collectibles, the name seemed perfect.

I've lived in Nebraska for almost 16 years, and as time went on, I finally became a Husker fan out of necessity. Since coming to the Big Red state, I have received two degrees from the University of Nebraska, so I guess rooting for the home team on football Saturdays is a small price to pay for higher education (tuition was much more!).

In my leisure time, I enjoy writing, photography, dog training, Scrabble, and of course, travel. Each week, John and I make a point of catching a movie, usually a romantic comedy or action/drama flick. John and my stepson are the skiers in the family, but I can always find a way to enjoy the mountains in the dead of winter. In return, John is pretty tolerant of attending dog shows throughout the year.

I have posted some pictures of scenery from across America on the right side of the page. Although they are not my own work, I was delighted to find them. In addition, I have uploaded some photos that I have taken inside some of our national parks -- destinations that I absolutely treasure. I hope you will enjoy a pictorial journey across our great land as much as I do!
