About me
I was born and raised in Michigan. I grew up in the Detroit area, then moved to mid-Michigan after getting married. I've been married for 40 yrs to the same man, have 3 grown children but no grandkids. My husband retired from GM 3 years ago and I retired from our local hospital where I still work occasionally in Patient Registration. I am active in my church and manage to stay busy. I love college football and Redwings hockey. In fact, I'm watching the 5th S.C. Finals game as I write this. I've been biking for 3 years and my husband just started this year. We try to do 10-15 miles per day weather permitting. My daughter is attending Michigan Tech University in Houghton, MI and we've been making quite a few trips up there recently. With gas prices the way they are, I don't think that this will continue. Until this year, camping has been our passion but again, with gas prices, this too had to cease. I think that the last 2 years has brought many changes in just about everyone's life.

I still work about 6-8 days per month at the hospital. Other than that, my husband and I have taken up biking. We try to ride about 10-15 miles per day. I also spend much time on weather related web sites and do weather blogs for several including weatherbug.
