Born in Aberdeen, Washington and grew up in both Aberdeen (before 12) and then Seattle, with lots of summers spent in Los Angeles.
Places I've been
I've traveled quite a bit, but have still not been everywhere. I travel year after year to see the world, and sometimes bring my granddaughter with me to show her the wonders and instill a desire in her. Unfortunately, since I work for a living, I must travel in small spurts. I've been to several states in the U.S., and many, but not all, national parks. I've traveled through Alaska and Canada a few times. Most relaxing place: Maui. I've traveled on the Aegean Sea and a small part of the Mediterranean Sea, and visited Greece, the Greek Isles and Turkey. I've spent time in varying areas of Mexico, the Caymans, Jamaica, and the western Caribbean. I could go on, but most recently, 2-1/2 weeks traveling throughout Norway. What a beautiful country full of incredible scenery beyond compare. Norwegians are warm, friendly and well educated. Once you strike up a conversation, you'll no doubt enjoy it. Very intelligent nation.

I must wax romantic on this and say Gone With the Wind. There are many good movies, and I watch them regularly, but usually in the comfort of my home.
Favorite TV Shows
I love PBS and the History Channel. Can never learn enough. Currently, I enjoy Dancing with the Stars - because I love to dance. I get addicted to American Idol every season. There are several others. Historically speaking, I still recall and love "I Love Lucy." Always makes me laugh.
Activities
Travel, swimming, visiting friends, sight-seeing.

There are so many incredibly beautiful places on the face of this earth that I cannot narrow it down easily, but I really enjoy visiting the Pacific Northwest with its majestic beauty -- especially during summer. It's still home. Also love the beaches of Hawaii and the Caribbean.
Favorite Animals
My granddaughter's little pet dog, Kittenbo, who is a "pomapoo." She's been with us for about nine years now. I am fascinated by whales and elephants. Their brains are larger than ours, and I sometimes contemplate what must be going through their minds.
