More about me

I am just this side of 69.  Have been a widow for 3 years and have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren.  I moved to Bensenville, IL in a senior community about 6 months after my husband passed away.  That meant emptying out a house that I had lived in for 36 years.  That was a big job and hard to get rid of some things.  My home now has only 3 rooms. 

I have wonderful neighbors and enjoy the senior lunchs once a month at a local restaurant.  I live 4 blocks from my daughter and her family so I see her often.  She also take me to some of my doctor appts. and in turn I watch the grandkids after school once a week.

I recently took a job at the local library 10 hours a week returning books to the shelves.  Keeps me out of trouble.  I was a bowler for 30 some years but gave that up a few years ago.  I love to read soft mysteries and crochet afghans.  I have a cat named Benny who keeps me company and sheds wherever he wants.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
