We are defined by place...I have lived in places where I have worked: DC, Denver, San Francisco, St Louis, and now Baltimore.I have also traveled to a lot of places for work and play. I was raised in Dubuque, Iowa which is a lovely but conservative place that sits in the banks of the mighty Mississippi River. My travels have taken me all over the US and some fantastic places in Europe...and one thing I have learned that every place is special and every place has problems...it is the relationships that really matter. My place:I am very community oriented and believe in simplicity as a lifestyle.

Where to begin... I am late 50's, single; HOH, and living in Chespeake Bay region ;Celtic rennaisance woman and independent thinker; work as a professional person in the health industry but do not wish to be defined by that title; seeking to re-arrange my life and priorities as I move past the empty nest syndrome [my twins are graduating from college in '08]; recently opened my own art studio and like to boost my creative energy by painting murals; have decided to take on marathon walking in a more serious manner this year --planning to train for a race next Spring; also love sailing,music , organic gardening, and reading. I have decided to postpone my own mid life crisis until I am 90 yo. and take up Buddhist meditation instead ! Looking for new and mature friendships in the Bay Area.
