I am a spunky widow who is not old, just ripe. I love life and laughter, good friends are very important to me.  I don't have a husband, but do enjoy going out with some male friends that I have.

Love music and reading.  Have read all the Agatha Christie books that I could get my hands on.  I enjoy volunteer work and it gives me pleasure to read to the infirm.  I used to be a professional chef, and still have that extra pinch of something that will forever be a secret.

I have plenty of grandkids, but my husband passed twenty years ago. I sat home and cried for ten years, then one morning I saw the sun shine on the ocean and I decided that I didn't die, he did. I was alive but might as well have been dead.  From that moment on, I started to see myself as a person, not half of one.

So, hope to meet loads of friends on here. I am a good listener but also gab a bit more than I should.  I knit as a hobby, and am sure that I will find someone on here, a younger man in his fifties who I will knite a beautiful sweater for.

That's about it. I love flowers and gardening.  Just get a bit of a crink in my knees lately, but nothing that Ben-Gay cannot cure.
