Lived in San Jose, Calif. during grade school. Moved to Augusta, ME where my mother's family is from and attended high school. Moved to Castine, ME in 1969 and have lived in this area since then. Love to travel, but have never left the states except to Canada.

Hi!  My name is Barbara. Just moved to New Bern, NC Sept 2009. I live in Penobscot, ME with a dog (English Mastiff) and a cat on about 2.5 acres.  I'm a cancer survivor (4 yrs last August) and have been retired from my job as a Paper Machine Maintenance Planner since July 2006.

I've been married twice, first time for 12 years and 2 children, a girl Jessica and a boy Nathan.  Ended in divorce, altho we stay amicable.  Second marriage lasted 20 years, no children, and I was widowed in March, 2006.

 Love the outdoors, travelling, motorcycles, gardening, reading.  Am keeping busier in my retirement than I thought possible!

 Still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up! Haven't yet explored all the possibilities.

 Right now exploring N. Carolina deciding if I want to plant roots here.  We'll see.

Gardening, swimming, walking the beach, shoot pool, dancing, travel. Love to try new things especially spur of the moment
