Hello, Thanks for stopping by and visiting my profile. My name is Elaine, and I'm 65 years old, and I am a widow. My husband, passed away on February 2, 2007 after battling heart disease for 15 years.

I have a son 45, and a daughter 39, and a deceased son, who passed away from heart failure in 2001. He was 32. He was in the National Guard, and was a correctional officer at a prison in Oregon. He left behind 5 children, one not born at the time. I have a total of 10 grandchildren, and my first great granddaughter was just born.... YIKES !!! Now that makes me sound old......don't feel it though , and if I ever act it, please tell me ~~~

I enjoy playing bunco, scrabble, going to the gym, and watching football. " Go Steelers". My husband used to tell people that he could hear me yelling over the sound of the lawnmower if the Steelers were playing. I guess I should believe it , I do remember being hoarse on occasion.

Music and dancing have alway been something I enjoy. I prefer classic rock, and oldies from the 50's and 60's. I taught ballroom dancing when I was 18.

I love mountain streams for water enjoyment. It's peaceful and serene, I feel in touch with nature. I'm not comfortable in crowds.

I enjoy fishing, and camping, and playing poker. I have a good sense of humor, and enjoy the same in others. I have a very quick wit, but only when I feel comfortable with people. Laughing is very important to me, and I love practical jokes. I feel I'm a good sport and can take a joke. Sometimes my own backfire on me, but I still laugh.

I stay very active and take care of my health. I try to keep an open mind, and a positive attitude towards life. I believe that we are responsible for our own happiness. We're only here once, so we should live our life to it's fullest. I do not believe in "pity parties".....they can control you if you allow them to.

I'm here hoping to, make new friends, as I venture out in the world on my own. This will be my new beginning, and I hope this will be a positive experience for me.
