I have traveled extensively throughout Western Europe and India and a little in Central and South America, China, Indonesia.

More about me

I grew up in Alberta, did my undergraduate work there and went to Rutgers University where I did a PhD in Physics. I was on the staff and faculty of Cornell University for 12 years, at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for 7 years and founded and managed an instrument design and sensor consulting business until I semi-retired a few years ago. For the last 4 years, I have been doing part-time teaching and engineering consulting work, much of it in India where I am currently living (Eons will not let one register unless you enter a US ZIP code so I used that of a friend where I stay when in CA). I enjoy living in different cultures and have found living in India a wonderful experience. My last 18 months teaching at Indian Institute of Technology Madras has been a stimulating and rewarding activity. I absolutely love this life and I would like to share it with others who enjoy travel and adventure as well as just relaxing at home, wherever that may be. I will eventually "settle" someplace, probably in a mountain or coastal area and quite possibly in the US. Does anyone have any suggestions? You may email me at hiker@emat.com.
