Places I've been

I traveled all over the US as a child. I lived in California, Texas and Florida primarily until movinf to Virginia with my husband in 1974. We have visited New England, Florida and Texas with our kids. I traveled to Ireland and kissed the blarney stone with a friend several years ago. We both have husbands who don't enjoy travel and sightseeing so we went together. We also traveled some years later to Andalucia Spain where we were with a touring group and saw several sights including a trip to the Rock of Gibraltor and Morocco. I insisted on riding a burro while in Spain (that is what they do) I got on a camel in Morocco and the Blarney Stone I mrntioned before. I like to indulge in what would be done in the country. We had a forced overnight in London so added a second one so we could take a tour of the sights on the double decker buses. When in Austrailia with my husband we went to the crocodile hunters zoo and I posed with a 7 foot python around my neck and held a koala bear..I also purchased ablack opal from their mines because that is my birthstone. I still want to go back and see more odf the outback and northern and southern regions. We took a tour of Sydney while we were there. I want to see more of Europe too but my husband is more interested in Asia.

Hi I'm Cathy . I worked as a nurse for over 32 years and then had a stroke due to surgery. I now do volunteer activities realating to  health and the helping field. My husband Tim recently retired and helps me with things I can't do. My mom now lives with us and has dementia which doesn't help. I like to read romance and suspense books. I like to draw and paint. I also love to travel but haven't been able to do so It is difficult for me.We have 2 adult kids, no grandkids and probably won't if ever for a long time. Our best trip was to Austrailia and it was awesome hence my user name. I just turned 60 in October.  and will be celebrating my 40th anniversary Dec. 5

Reading, painting, traveling , helping others through volunteering.member of the medical reserve corps of Prince William county . on Board of directors of health system regulating agency. have done art therapy with mentally and physically challenged for my sons company Iam an alternate on the local disability services board. I am also onthe the board for the independence empowerment center

. I enjoy romantic comedymostly;followed by drama..Then I like musicals of all types;Dirty Dancing;Officer and a Gentleman, and Forest Gump.. I love Tom Hanks movies as well as Harrison Ford and Mel Gibson I also like Meryl Streep, Robin Williams Denzel Washington, and Sidney Poitier movies
