I have been a widow for over five years.  I share my home with my Shih-tsu Sabean who has been a faithful companion albeit very much spoiled.  He will soon be 6 years old.  He does not think he's a dog but a people!

I have 3 children and 9 grandchildren.  In 1984 I was diagnosed with MS.  Despite having to cope with a chronic disease, I am determined to not let "it" take over my life.  I prefer to count my blessings which are many and take each day as it comes.  Although MS has taken quite a bit a way from me as far as hobbies and certain activities go, I try to compensate by finding other outlets.  Right now I spend time on the computer, make at least one phone call a day to some one I know who is having life struggles and spend as much time as I can with family and friends.

Helen Keller is one of my hero's.  She was blind/deaf/mute and yet accomplished so many things in her life time.  How did she accomplish so much with such limitations?  She was an awesome person!
