I grew up in a VERY small German Catholic town in mid Michigan during the 50s and 60s. We had a church, 2 gas stations, 2 little mom and pop grocery stores, a hardware and 2 taverns! Oh, yes and the school. Many of the families were farmers. It was a pret (Hometown), College Name

I have been single since 2000, after being married for most of my life. 33 years to be exact. Gosh, that sounds like an eternity. My ex and I are on friendly terms because of our 3 children, a daughter and 2 sons. It makes life much easier for them. I am also blessed to have 4 beautiful grandchildren. I am self-employed and am fairly flexible in my schedule. I enjoy people and look forward to meeting new people. I do hope to have a long-term relationship with a special guy.

Now that you are over 50, what are you doing that you never thought you would?

I never thought I'd have my daughter and grandchildren living with me for a few months. Wow, what a culture shock. It was challenging at first, but we are all getting used to one another and there is some semblance of balance most of the time. I also never thought I'd be divorced after 30 plus years of marriage. I'm dealing with that fairly well, too. Another thing I never thought I would do, is have my own business, which is slowly, but consistently building up. I still grow everyday.
