Places I've been

Moved to Great Meadows NJ in '71. Visit suburbs of Philly, Pa & west coast of Fla, frequently. Have enjoyed traveling to Alaska, Utah, Arizona, Ireland, Las Vegas, Bermuda, Virginia, Cape May, Denver, Cape Cod, and a trip up the NE coast to Maine. Oh, and I spent 37 minutes outside the San Francisco airport.(saw the Golden Gate from the plane). My friend and I are planning a cross- country camper trip next spring.

 Two years ago I  made the decision to "downsize" and moved into an apt.  Many firsts  came with that. Because I'm a 'goer', and not here half the time,  I'm still adjusting.

  I was a schoolteacher and a homemaker. (Back in the day when that meant that I was in charge).

  In 2000, I was widowed after a darn good 35 yr marriage. We had two sons. Fifteen littles and littlers (grand & great grand) all treat me as if I'm special.

  There are good friends left (a few of them are lifelong---really).

   I enjoy..... the memories, usually the day, and almost always looking forward. (There's generally a trip in the works)

   

 

 

 

Activities

Reading is both pleasure and escape. I enjoy going out to dinner. My favorite pastime is traveling --- well, trips... with a friend or one or two of the many littles.

Favorite Music

Very eclectic... the Tenors, Country, Show Tunes, Tchaikovsky and, of course, the Oldies.

Favorite TV Shows

Bones, Law and Order, the PBS British sit-coms, and some of the retro shows.

Favorite Movies

Momma Mia, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Forest Gump. Can I count Snow White?

Favorite Books

Anything by James Patterson, Pearl S. Buck, or Erma Bombeck.

Favorite Quotes

Family and friends pretty much says it all.... but then there are the entertainers who give us so much joy.

Favorite Animals

This is the first section of my life that I haven't had the company of an animal. I like to think of myself as an animal person.... however that would mean that I'd have to try to find the good reason that God created rodents. Lets just say that I really like most animals.
