More about me

Grew up in rural northern New York state. Love the outdoors, fresh air, water, mountains and most trees. Canoed, hiked, swam, camped, fished and hunted. Wandering the mountains with my redbone hound was pure joy. School was a necessity but looking out the homeroom window as the high peaks of the Adirondacks changed with the seasons was an irresistable siren call.

I looked silly in a sailor suit in my 20's so got out after 4 with one wonderful year in the Nam.  Learned to appreciate peace.

I used to kid my uncle about his slavish devotion to his grandkids, now I understand.

Travel. Time with grandchildren. Read. Write. Research and document genealogy. Surf the web to learn new things. Good food, good wine and great conversation.
