Tennessee born and bred, Nevada transplant now for a quarter of a century - that would be about half my life now. Married, with children: almost grown!

Favorite Movies

Arsenic and Old Lace, The Court Jester, Wonderful Life, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, first ORIGINAL Star Wars, Mr and Mrs Smith, Shrek, and number one: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, tied with Monty Python's Life of Brian. This summer I really enjoyed Spiderman 3, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, although I do agree - they left too much of the book out of the movie...

Favorite TV Shows

I don't watch very much TV these days - and there's not one program I make a point to see. I like to watch dog agility on Animal Planet, and Curb Appeal on HGTV, I like 'educational programs' on Discovery, and the History Channel, and PBS, I watch Law and Order reruns, and CSI (the Las Vegas one), and when I catch Monk I really like it. I never watched Sex and the City, I've never seen Desparate Housewives, or the Sopranos, and I don't want to. I never saw Friends, or American Idol. So what? I have a life.

Favorite Music

That depends on the day and my mood: hard rock, light rock, classical, bluegrass, easy listening, stomp, ethnic, or golden oldies. - it would be easier to list the music I don't particularly care for: (rap, country, jazz), and even those I'll listen to sometimes.

Favorite Books

Voyager, Dragonfly in Amber, A Breath of Snow and Ashes - the whole Voyager series (Diana Gabaldon) The Game of Kings, Queen's Play, Knight's Gambit - the whole Lymond series (Dorothy Dunnett). Foreigner, Pretender, Deliverer - the whole Foreigner series (C.J. Cherryh), also the Faded Sun Trilogy, and others by the same author. Master and Commander, and the whole Aubrey/Maturin series (Patrick O'Brian) Every Regency Georgette Heyer wrote. Robin McKinley's, R.A. MacAvoy's, R.M.Meluch's - I could start with 'A' and work my way down the list of author's who have written books I enjoy, love, can't put down - but there is not enough space!
