I still want to go many more places. I lived in Georgia for five years. Now I spend time here in Illinois at my daughter's and in California at my son's.

More about me

I am a daughter, sister, mom, abiga(grandma), and teacher. I grew up and lived in Illinois my whole life but moved to Georgia from 2000 to 2005. I got a job and bought a house and started a new life. My eldest son met his wife in Georgia after following me down there. When he relocated with family to California I decided I did not want to be left behind. I moved with them but then decided to mainly live in Illinois near my widowed mom and with my dear daughter and family whom I missed terribly. At that point I had retired for about a year and a half to be at the births of my last two grandchildren and to recuperate from twelve years of teaching and many years of just plain life. Then it was back to work. I substitute taught, taught online and handed out samples before taking a second grade teaching job for the 2007/2008 school year. Now I am retired again helping out with grandbabies which I love to do.  I am still waiting for a new adventure to come my way. I have plenty of life yet to live. Blessings

Sleepless in Seattle, While You Were Sleeping, Jurassic Park, The Phamtom of the Opera, The Passion and Civil War movies. Usually I don't like to watch a movie twice.

Activities

Sewing, quilting, knitting, photography, walking, baking, organizing, traveling, grandchildren geneology.

Favorite Music

Contemporary Christian, Celtic, classical, Southern Gospel, easy listening types of music.

Favorite TV Shows

Lost, 24, CSI original, Prison Break, Gilmore Girls when it was on.

Favorite Books

Anything and everything, fiction and non-fiction, Jan Karon series, I am currently reading: Quilting Books, Savannah Breeze, The Heavenly Man and Grassfed Cattle, and of course the Bible.
