More about me

I'm an aging hippie with all of the same ideals and values I had in the 60s.  I still wear tie-dye, jeans, peace jewelry, etc.  The only thing different is the gray hair and wrinkles.  I've traveled all over the states, Canada and Central America.  I love Colorado and Northern California and would love to live out West again someday.  I've been married and divorced twice and have a son by each union.  My oldest, Josh, is 29 and just became engaged, youngest is Tyler, who is 21 and was diagnosed with leukemia in 2007.  Thankfully, he is in total remission right now.  I am a student at the local community college, working toward my medical assistant certification and have just signed up to do some volunteering with the local Hospice.  My journey has been a pretty rough one at times but then, who's hasn't?  I'm pretty much a homebody when I'm not at school, still looking for a job.  I have 2 dogs and 4 cats and wish I lived somewhere that would allow more.  I love houseplants and have a very eclectic taste in decorating.  I love to read and am addicted to Facebook.  I couldn't live without music in my life.... I love all kinds from classical to bluegrass.   And, I'm still waiting for the love of my life......
