About me

Since you stopped by......
Please take a moment and sign my guestbook in the right hand column
I'm a single woman born and raised in Mendocino County, Northern California. I've always been somewhat independent but I'm ready to find someone special to spend the second half of my life with and make some wonderful memories. Looking forward to retirement, but at this point in my life, it's probably farther away than I would like.

As you can tell after visiting my profile, I love music. My tastes are varied. You might hear some country, classical, classic R&B, opera or rock and roll. My age is showing a definite generation gap in my musical tastes though. I have found that I cannot tolerate most of the so called music of the current generation. Once in a while I will hear something that I like but I don’t and can’t listen to most of it.

I love nature and all that it brings to our lives. There’s nothing like the earthy smell after the first rain. Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons. The seasonal colors can be so vibrant. In Spring, everything is green, new blooms and buds are popping out all over with a burst of color. The water in the rivers is flowing at full force, clear and sparkly. In Fall, again the colors are vibrant even though they are at the other end of the spectrum. The oranges and reds warm my heart.

I’ve lived around and loved animals all my life. Most recently, that involves cats and dogs. Now, I am alone though. My last cat died recently, and I’ve decided not to have another cat or dog share my life until after retirement and the lure of travel is out of my system.
That’s not to say I won’t change my mind. I have a long history of being a rescuer. Plus it’s always possible I may become involved with someone that has a pet. Or, I may find that it’s just too lonely without the pitter patter of little paws in my home.

As far as retirement goes, I would really like to see this great nation of ours. I’ve visited some states, but I know there is still a lot to see out there. Even though I have traveled some in foreign countries, to me it’s important to see more of this one. One possible plan is to buy an RV and find a central location in each state in which to park for a while. Then take little day or overnight trips out to see the sites. Some states are large enough that it would be necessary to break them up into regions. To me, it seems like this might be the perfect way to also discover the best place to live out those later years.

  • That flower is so interesting. Growing in rocks? The soil here(New York) is very sandy and full of rocks - I am sure it could grow in my garden. I have Hens and Chicks growing between rocks.

Please reply with the name of your flower.
    Thanks
