Places I've been

I was born in Holden, Ma. but grew up in CT from the time I was 7 years. Married at age 17 had my son at age 18 and divorced by age 19. Well except for my son that was the stupidest thing I have ever done. Married my dear husband in 1977 and he adopted my son who was 7. We have stayed put for the most part and now live in my husband's grandmother's house. It's a 103 year old farm house. We've put on an addition and refurbished the original part of the house...keeping to the era in which it was built...fighting the contractor all the way. I like to travel but my husband would rather not...but he does tag along. We enjoy Cape Cod, Ma...off season. We also have been to Jamacia, Canada, Nova Scotia, and most east coast states. Look forward to seeing more of this beautiful country.

I'm 55 year old contentedly married grandmother.  My husband and I have been married 30 years...but then our parents are both celebrating their 60th anniversaries in 2007.  We have one son...who is mine from a previous marriage.  He is 37 married and has two beautiful daughters, ages 12 and 9.  They live in NC and the girls come and spend 4 - 6 weeks with us every summer....without their parents!!

Six years ago I retired from the Clinical Director position at a non profit mental health agency.  After about 10 months I got bored and went back to work part time.  Now I work 2 -3 days a week as a clinical social worker.  I work a lot with children and teens who have been physically or sexually abused.

I'm a avid quilter and one of my goals is to make a queen size quilt for my own bed.  I've made several for nieces or nephews for wedding presents but have never made one for me.  I have a store bought one.  I put the quilt tops together by machine but usually hand quilt...it's my therapy.
