About Me
I was a pre-architecture major in college, and then served in the US Navy after which I was a technical artist for North American
Aviation on the Apollo Project. After leaving NAA, I went to work for a major insurance company ending up 17 years later in regional management. After virtually three years of deliberation, I quit to pursue my love of art. For many years I made a good living as a fine art watercolorist specializing in western Americana, and steam era railroads. I eventually wound up in Carson City, Nevada where I took a job as an Art Director for a Reno Advertising Agency. When the agency closed down, I opened my own commercial art and illustration studio and worked at that for about 20 years until I retired five years ago. While I don't paint much any more, I still have several old students (I taught watercolor for twenty years) who keep my mind in it. My passtimes now, are woodworking, gardening, camping, and volunteering for the US Forest Service.

I am now primarily involved in woodworking (furniture), gardening, camping and hiking the Sierras with my wife and volunteering for the US Forest Service where I serve as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Carson Ranger District . . . and do most anything else that they need done.
