- More about me
-
I'm a wife, mother of five, grandmother of nine. I've been a vegetarian since I was 22 yr old. I returned to school when I was 32 yr old (with 3 kids) to finish a B.S. in biology and went on to complete a Ph.D. in nutrition at 42 (with 5 kids). I worked in academia until May 2008 - I'm currently looking for another position, and working as a pizza maker at a local convenience store until I do. I was born and raised in NJ, but have lived in Nebraska, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Washington, Oregon and Iowa.

“My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following Your Will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please You does in fact please You. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this You will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it. Therefore I will trust You always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for You are ever with me, and You will never leave me to face my perils alone.” - Thomas Merton

Ah yes the sands of Father Time, carefully sifted, reveal seemingly new founded wisdom that has lived and breathed richness into lives many times over. It only matters that it is new to us and that we embrace it lovingly with full intention to use it to better ourselves and that which surrounds us. Here is to our year, a gift it itself, called 2012 and the abundance that awaits us spiritually, mentally and physically if we choose to claim it. Everything else follows these leaders. ~~~~~Cheers, Elle
