I’m 50 years old and a single mom, finally getting used to being by myself again, navigating a social life and making more friends.  I may be a bit reserved with someone new, until I get to know them a little.  I try to keep a positive outlook on life, have a dry sense of humor, and love having fun and trying new things.  I’m also pretty straightforward:  if you want to know something, you’re free to ask – just be sure you really want to hear it, it might not be what you expected.  My friends are honest, intelligent, upbeat, relaxed & enjoy life.  A good sense of humor is a must! I'm a voracious reader of a wide variety of subjects, enjoy art, photography, most kinds of music, do a little gardening, and browse flea markets.  I've wanted to buy a Harley for a while, and may do it yet!  I love the beach and the outdoors (used to be a tomboy, lol!).  Tomboy or not, I also enjoy a good slow dance.   Sitting on the porch with a glass of favorite wine is something else I like do.  Like most people, occasionally I need my own time & space.  I’m a pretty good cook, and love to cook for people who enjoy eating.  I’m not into sports or excessive tv-watching.  Intelligent & lively conversation will get my attention in a hurry; will discuss but not argue politics or religion.  I like talking to others about their life experiences. My 16-yr-old son and I share our home with 2 dogs and 2 cats.
