- More about me

I'm a retired educator, now living the life I've always dreamed of: writing mystery novels.
I wrote my first mystery, Genesis Beach, and found that I wanted to do more with my protagonist, Logan Hunter, so Just North of Luck is the sequel. Now that it's a series, the third novel, Hell Swamp, will be released in February 2009. I am currently working on the fourth.
I'm married with two married sons and three grandsons. My new web site is www.susanwhitfieldonline.com

I did not know whether to send this to "private e-mail or to "comments." When I have time at home (I am e-mailing from the office), I will read excerpts from your books. For the past two years I have helped a Federal Inspector General's Office prepare and issue reports of our audit projects. After I retire from the Government, I may want to write or edit. Do you have recommendations on how to start? Thanks!
