Places I've been

I have lived all over the U.S. due to employment relocations for my husband or myself--I think it has been 13 houses in 17 years. It's been a great ride. We enjoy learning about other parts of the nation,and have made some wonderful friendships from one coast to the other. Some of the most recent include Washington DC, where I worked on Capitol Hill as a credentialed member of the Radio and Television gallery, for a wonderful Washington, DC think-tank focused on civil-rights; in Austin, TX for a nonprofit health organization, and now in Phoenix for a non-profit health organization where I am director of External Communications for 12 states. My work has been published in several daily newspapers, and well-known magazines. I am pursuing an advanced degree in Political Science and Communications.

I work in the communications industry. I am trying to estudio L'italiano and how to juggle 50 hours of life into 24. I believe the beach is a great place to lose yourself and find yourself all that the same time.

Activities

I love politics, photography, snorkeling, windsurfing, beachcombing for seashells, eating ice cream and traveling. My ideal day would include all the above.

Smooth Jazz is my favorite, but i enjoy many genres.

Boston Legal, Bill Mahr, The Daily Show and just about anything on HGTV

Favorite Movies

The Full Monty, My Big Fat Greek Wedding and Little Miss Sunshine, in that order! I have to admit, I love good documenteries too.

Favorite Books

I love reading about politics past and present, and quite enjoy historical accounts. Too many books and so little time.

Favorite People

Beside family and friends, I would have to say Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and Eleanor Rosevelt. Each was quite remarkable in their own right, and the world is much better because of their insight and contributions.

Favorite Places

My favorite place is anywhere there is sunshine, clean sandy beaches, the smell and view of the ocean and friends and family.Ahh, The beach is heaven on earth.

Favorite Animals

Definitely dogs. I have two of them--The "Lug" and the "Princess". They are quite fascinating creatures and are always good for some serious comic relief.
