Have lived most of my life in Wyoming since moving here with my late husband almost 50 years ago. Does that make me a native? Have also traveled to Sweden & Denmark to visit with my exchange students families. Was there for almost 25 days.

More about me

I spent over 20 years as an RN;working in hospitals & long term care facilities.  After I "retired " from nursing, I have been working as a Foster Grandparent at the school down the block. I work with the kindergarteners, 1st & 2nd grades.  After school I tutor the kids that are in our after school program called Lights On.  I love to read & some times get my nose buried in a book & forget there is a world out there! 

Activities

reading, working in my yard, walking my dogs. I don't lead a very exciting life.

Favorite Music

Most country music, Native American flute music.Also enjoy listening to classical & like to put on Jazz to clean house to.

Favorite TV Shows

National Geographics, Animal Planet, History Channel also the science channel at times, as I like to continue learning new & different things

Favorite Movies

James Dean's Rebel Without a Cause had a real big impact on me. I also Liked the story of how the USA rescued the White Stallions during WWll called the "Miracle of the White Stallions."

Favorite Books

I don't have a particular favorite as I read many different kinds and style depending on my mood when I go to the library.

Favorite Quotes

A poem called "The Weaver" especially the 2nd verse: "Oftimes he weaveth sorrow, And I in foolish pride, Forget he sees the upper, And I, the underside.

Favorite People

My daughter. How she turned out to be such a special person is a miracle. The teachers that I work with at school. My spiritual leaders, Willie & Bill. My brother for not killing me when I was so mean to him growing up.

Favorite Places

Being in the mountains above Lander. Sitting in the sweat lodge & praying.

Favorite Animals

My 2 dogs & my "psycho" cat. I also enjoy the horses on the other side of my fence.
